Labeeb’s uncle wanted him to go to Huntington to work in his establishment but instead made a visit to Prince Edward Island, liked the lifestyle and opened up a small restaurant across the street from our store. I think what he liked most was the ease in which one could fish and hunt and still do a days work. He was also avid

gardener and produced his own wine.

In1970 Jean and Labeeb opened the Seatreat Restaurant on the corner of University and Euston Street and developed it into a very popular eating establishment until they retired in 1998. It was taken over by Joseph Rashed, Labeeb’s nephew. Jean and Labeeb had four children: 1 David (January 1964) went to Colonel Gray High School and became very involved with Rock Music. He was a member of the Haywire group. They wrote their music and became one of the most popular music groups around 1995. David married Sue Chamberlain June 19, 1993.She is the grand daughter of Charlie Chamberlain of the famous Don Messier Jubilee. They moved to Ontario where Sue worked as a technician in ultra sound and David worked in the field of music and continued his education at Fanshawe College in Audio Production. They moved back to Prince Edward Island in 2002. They have four children, Hanna , J aron and twins Lily and Ava.. 2 Regina (April 1965) went to Colonel Gray and Holland College and worked for Canadian Airlines for several years. She married Marco Consolo on November 1997 and they live in Toronto. They have three children, Alessandro, Amedeo and Allegra. 3 Michael (April 1967) went to Colonel Gray and Holland College and became very proficient in Photography and Computer application. He lives in Toronto and has worked for several computer companies. 4 Rhonda (April 1969) went to Colonel Gray, UPEI and UNB and received her degree in Electrical Engineering. She did her on the job training with Northern Tel and was offered a five year contract but declined in order to go to British Columbia to work with a small emerging company. After a few years, she accepted a position in sales with A.C.A. Engineering Co. in Toronto.
