In 1953, Jameel made a visit to the Island. After a long train trip from Windsor Ontario to Moncton, New Brunswick, my cousin Joe Kays and my brother Abe met Jameel in Moncton and drove him to Charlottetown. He was fascinated by the fact that the ferry crossing to the Island could accommodate the train as well as cars.

In 1966 Aunt Nahil, Uncle George and family moved to Van Nuys, California where they again operated a retail businesses. The whole family was very involved in the local church activities. The long distance from West Virginia and Ohio would not prevent Uncle George from attending the Kfeirian reunion, which was the social highlight of the year for him. Uncle George died on January 13, 1980 and Aunt Nahil died on February 14, 1992.

Adeeb with his wife Carolyn and three children journeyed to St. Damien, Quebec and were able to locate the general store that my grandfather operated. In 1991, Adeeb and his wife Carolyn made a trip to Charlottetown and spent a week with us. It happened to be my 60th birthday. With cousins from different parts of Canada and the United States it became a wonderful mini Zakem reunion. Abeeb and Carolyn had their picture taken with Joe Ghiz who was the first Lebanese premier in Canada.
