them sent back to Lebanon. At the time they did not realize they were going back to Lebanon. They were told they were going to Visit me in Montreal. I was studying there at the time. Needless to say we were all surprised and disappointed when they landed in Lebanon instead of Montreal.
While I was in Ottawa in the mid seventies, I Visited Chafic Rahme who is a first cousin to Karam. Their mothers were sisters. Karam wanted to come back to Canada and Chafic was willing to sponsor him and a letter from my mother would go a long way to have Karam accepted as an immigrant. Although they are much younger, Alice, Karam and
Abraham Jr. are my aunt and uncles.
