Needless to say we were all surprised and disappointed when they landed in Lebanon instead of Montreal. While I was in Ottawa in the mid seventies, I visited Rahme who is a first cousin to Karam . Their mothers were sisters. Karam wanted to come back to Canada and was willing to sponsor him and a letter from my mother would go a long way to have Karam accepted as an immigrant.
