children Fahd, Fared, Olga and Wadeh. Olga and her father did Visit us once in Charlottetown. My parents knew them from years past and they were good friends to my wife Janet’s parents. Janet’s mother Wazna was a Zakem and she use to refer to George Zakem as uncle. There is a distant relationship but I think it was out of respect, as is often the custom with the Lebanese. In 2004 I received an e— mail from a Louise Zakem who saw my name on the Leb Org. Web site where I had put some information about myself, my father and grandfather. She was trying to research her Zakem roots. As it turned out, she is the daughter of Wadeh (Ed in English) Zakem and I was able to show her how we were related from the information I had gathered. She was very grateful. I met her husband Pierre and their two adopted daughters in Montreal when I went down to celebrate my sister Yvonne’s 80th birthday on May 6th, 2004.
