he I Iistorv ot Argyle Shore 64. Muirhead The house, known as the Muirhead house, is situated on the east end of the Argyle Shore Road. It was built by Peter Inman who was married to Emily (Matheson), an aunt of Robert Matheson who operated a store in Clyde River . Their son, Mark, married Ida (Livingston,) a sister of Watson Livingston , Clyde River . Their two daughters, Heather Inman and Faye Dirks built a home on the and presentlv reside there in the summer. The second owners of the home were Peach and Agnes (Osborne) Moore. They had three children, Earl ( Lillian Scott ), Jean ( Archie Murlev ), and Hap ( Helen Morrow ). Earl and Lillian became the next owners and lived there until the fall of 1951 when they sold the one hundred year old home to Howard Muirhead . Howard and his wife, Evelyn (German) raised a family of 15 children there, Russell, William, Delbert (Marilyn), Victor (Carol), Jean ( Dale Farish ), George, Douglas, Carol ( Ronnie Gaines ), Faye, Enid, Audrey ( Terry Edison ), Daniel, John ( Gail ), Lee (Nancy), and infant son, John Eldon . Lee and Nancy lived here for a number of years with their children April, Michelle, Justin and Christy. This beautiful old home is presently being restored by Carol and her husband Ronnie Gaines . 174
