short meeting prior to shooting resolved one of the recent controversies concerning the counting of a target hit with a second barrel. President Arnaud, not being one of the top shooters in the Club, felt it was unfair to count the second barrel hit as a complete kill, and advocated the Club reinstate a rule they had voted in a few years ago--that targets hit with a second barrel count 3/4, rather than one. All agreed and they proceeded with their shoot. Blanchard and MacLeod were late arriving and shot at only six birds while all the others had ten.

The new Peters machine-loaded shotshells were now available in Charlottetown, and a box of twenty-five cost 35 cents. Clay targets were now being shipped by the barrel of 500. With the steady supply of targets there was a slight price increase and, to cover the additional freight, Club members were assessed a special fee of 50 cents, which was no problem at all to collect.
