He spoke of the creditable manner in which the Club had been conducted and of the comradeship and sportsmanship which had been exibited at every match. Mr. Heartz handed the trophy over to the President of the. Club and it was presented to Major Weeks with very complimentary remarks. The Major, in replying, expressed his thanks to the donor and spoke of the artistic beauty of the cup which was one of the handsomest he had ever seen. He said he had no expectation of winning it but had done his best. Mr. F. E. Dench, Manager of the Canadian Bank of Commerce, proposed the toast to Mr. Justice Haszard, one of the Club's oldest members. The latter replied in excellent form. Speeches were also made by Messrs. A. W. Hyndman, R. B. Rossborough, E. G. Coombs, H. S. Pethick, Major A. G. Peake, Captain E. DeB. Peake, Colonel S. R. Jenkins, Major J. A. MacDonald, John Andrews, W. E. Hyndman, L. G. Haszard and others. The chairman who presided entertained the audience with some very interesting accounts of some of his experiences while in the navy.
