Ralph Jenkins, and Ollie Harper, common members of both organizations, attended the final meeting, and moved that the benches, which had been used in club dog shows, be given to the skeet club. They were not of any particular value in their current state, but the material would be kept, and in very short order be put to a very useful purpose. 1950, and 1951, were growing years for skeet shooting in Charlottetown. Regular shooting was. held every Saturday afternoon from May to September, but during these years there were no major competitions held. The First Annual Shoot, held in Squaw Point in 1949, could well have been called the first, and only, because there was never a second. The new location was bringing members, but it was into a very relaxed shooting atmosphere, and some were speculating that there was an 'excitement' missing. Bob Hyndman was President in 1951 and being an individual who was totally imbued with clay target shooting through his heritage, encouraged participation.
