The season ran its course, and despite a big turnout for the Provincial shoot and some increased activity in September, the year ended with a net loss in rounds shot over the previous year and fewer members active than the Club had started the year with. But the 1950's had been good for clay target shooters on Prince Edward Island and the games had prospered.

With the 1960's came a period of decline, and the further loss of two elderly members of the old Newstead Club when cousins John and Al Hyndman passed away. The Club would have the experience of enduring the low swing of an activity cycle. Although it remained operational and new members were joining there was no incentive to grow or be a factor on the Maritime scene.
