Harley Ings won the High Overall Title with a 191. Warren Doiron won the Junior Skeet in a shootoff with Allen Myers while the Junior Trap Title went to Mike Doiron. Both junior events were based on 50 targets.

The Club was in an era of innovation, and during the summer some of the electrically inclined members erected a large power pole, installed a set of high intensity lights, and, using specially ordered white targets, did some night shooting. The idea had limited popularity and gradually evolved into occasional use only. For the first time, too, they did not close the Club down prior to the fall hunting season--rather they continued, on a Saturday afternoon basis, until Christmas. Stories of other clubs shooting throughout the winter were found interesting by some members and an executive decision to shoot on Saturday afternoons was met with majority approval. It was the first time in Island clay target history that shooting would take place in every month of the year.

The increase in membership fees, successful lottery, and still-growing volume of shooting, justified the decision made in the spring to order, through Winchester, a new set of Western auto-loading skeet traps, and an electric release, auto-angling trap to replace the old manual release unit. They would be the Club's first new target release units in twenty years, and, on arrival and installation, would cause a noticeable decline in most shooters averages.
