Many new gunners joined the Club in 1978 and, while some would hardly ever be seen, others would make a serious effort to learn the game, and show up as often as possible. Some in the latter group included Rick Gormley, John Ferguson, and David Higginbotham from the Murray Harbour area; gunsmith Roger MacDonald, Rev. George Micklethwaite and his family; brothers Clifford and Gary Craswell; Buddy Sheppard; high-average Ontario skeet shooter Don Stapleton; and four juniors, who were sons of active members; Charlie Keizer; Mark Myers; and brothers Wade and Jerry Morrell. Teddy Woodruff set a new club long run record of 149 and four others, Bill Morrell, Ron Atkinson, Glen MacEachern, and George Carson, all broke the 100 straight barrier again. WAITING FoR A SQUAD ?
