Trapshooting participation meanwhile, remains relatively low and continues to account for less than ten percent of total club activity. Around the Atlantic region, apart from Charlottetown, the real hotbeds of clay target shooting appear to be Sydney, Dartmouth and the Clubs on the south-west shore of Nova Scotia. Many other clubs are active, some emphasizing trapshooting and some skeet, and are working on the upswing on their activity cycle. A few more are in the doldrums, waiting patiently for the person or incident to give the ignition of enthusiasm.
